centennial

Well, I am finally here. I gradually moved stuff in throughout the week, but it was today that wore me out. I moved almost everything. Still a few things left behind. I was just too tired to get them.

I am on the first floor and actually enjoy not having to climb stairs since I have been at ASU. It made it a whole lot easier to move stuff in also. My room is really nice. I have a small kitchen area, living room, bedroom and of course a bathroom. Unlike Massie, it is an apartment style room. It is not perfect yet and I am still trying to figure out where everything goes, but soon enough it will all be done. My goal is to have it done by the end of the weekend. I have no idea how I got so much stuff, but it is a bit ridiculous.

Wedding update:: After we picked the cake and flowers we went out to the church. Awful. They have not maintained what was a brand new building. We called them to cancel and they have yet to call us back. That was a week ago. What bad customer service. Ridiculous. So we are now having the ceremony at the Richmond House along with the reception. I had originally wanted it that way, but decided not to. Looks like I made a mistake there. All along it was meant to be.

School update:: Ad club...I have talked about it before. We are a class of about 28 people and we create and ad campaign and compete against big name schools like TCU and what not. This year is State Farm...remember WTF? Well we changed it and still continued to get into trouble. Our advisor and department have shown us no support and with competition just weeks away, we are struggling in more ways than one. We need money in order to go right? Well, SOLF, who gives money to Student Orgs is all out of money...never happened before. Talked to the university...out of money. Talked to department...don't want to support us, however, one professor after chewing us out and basically telling us that we will fail and just destroying us is giving us $1,000. Shock. Guess she felt bad. We need at least $5,000. So we are running around town asking for donations and fighting to make it. We are the underdog and this year we actually have a chance. We are the bomb, no joke. Fingers crossed.

three hundred and sixty five

I have decided to accept the 365 challenge after Jordan and I say 'I do'. The 365 challenge is where you take one picture a day for a whole year. I figure that this will be a great way to remember and capture our first year of marriage. I am actually pretty excited about it. I love taking pictures and it just sounds fun.

Anyway it is spring break. It is nice to finally be away from school. Update:::They shut down my floor. This means all of my residents have to move. I have to move also. A month left of school and we have to move...yay. I am moving to Centennial. It will be a new adventure and I look forward to it. I will miss my current staff dearly, but it is what it is.::: We have been doing wedding stuff all week. We got into town Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening we had our first shower! It was great fun. My sister and sister-in-law hosted it and did a great job. Love them!!

Then Monday we really didn't do a whole lot. My mom and I went shoe shopping to find better shoes for the wedding. Found them. They are life changing. Then Jordan and I went to the rodeo with my brother and sister-in-law. Good times. I really enjoy hanging out with them when we get a chance. We don't get to see them to much. Tuesday we ordered the invitations and just relaxed. It was a rainy day and one of those that make you want to just stay inside and watch a movie.

Today was Bridal Portrait Day! We went out to The Richmond House and took some amazing pictures thanks to my awesome photographer from Englexas Photography. It was great fun. I went and got my hair done and it looked so good! Christina is just amazing with my hair. It didn't take to long, which was awesome because I was pretty tired after about an hour haha.

Tomorrow we are going to pick the cake, flowers and menu. I am just ready to be done and have everything ready to go for the big day. We are also getting our pass ports and finalizing the tuxes tomorrow! So exciting!

So far it has been a wonderful Spring Break.

jealous

I was at peace with not graduating, but for some reason it just made me really mad. I guess that will happen. You get burnt out and just can't wait for it to all be over, but then you realize that you have one more semester. I can understand why I got mad. Whatever...it's lame.

Spring is in the air. Well today not so much, but yesterday was amazing. I always find myself wanting everything to be brighter...color wise that is. Like I was my clothes to be bright colors and I want my room to be bright. I don't know it just puts me in a cheery mood. I love SPRING! I am ready for Spring Break. We will be getting into Houston Saturday night and our first shower is on Sunday. Then Monday we are going to the Rodeo with my brother and sister-in-law! Fun times! Tuesday tuxes, Wednesday bridal portraits, Thursday cake testing, flower picking, menu finalizing, and decor finalizing, Friday back to Saginaw with our new dining room furniture! How exciting! Sounds a bit busy, but in between we will have a lot of pool time and relaxing. So happy! Sometimes I wish we just went to the JP with our families and closest friends then had a big party. Seems like it would have been a whole lot less complicated. I really don't care how we get married anymore as long as we get married. Less is more, right?

wtf...

WTF ... We're There For... We're There First. That is our slogan/ad campaign for State Farm. It is amazing. Our demographic is 18 to 25 year olds and this (WTF) is the moto for that generation. We presented it perfectly (in-house) to 8 judges. All loved it. They were a little worried that it would be taken the wrong way, but agreed that if we presented it as well as we did it wouldn't. However, we did not get first place. The professor did not like it so we came in second. The whole point of an in-house competition is to decide what we will take to regionals. The whole class voted...WTF won. Professor said no. Now we have to start from scratch. We did all of that hard work for nothing. We have to be done with our book by next Friday. We have nothing. Awesome. Regionals are in April. Everyone else is pretty much done. Worried? Yeah just a little. Annoyed? Oh yeah. There is more to the story, but I am not going to get into it. Lets just say some people always get their way when their daddy is a big name at a little school.

Anyway I found the bedding that I want for our bedroom! It is perfect. A little bit of me with the design and a little bit of Jordan with the blue. Perfect!!

Word on the street is that we will be getting it from the lovely ladies that are hosting our shower in Andrews! I am so excited for the showers to happen. We are having one in Katy, one in Andrews and one in Saginaw! Then there is a little something happening here in San Angelo, but we aren't going to get into that lol. Also Jordan booked our off shore excursions for our honeymoon!! We are going to go swimming with dolphins and sea turtles for one of them! So excited!!! TURTLES!!!!! I love turtles.

Everything is coming together beautifully. Now just to finish out the semester! Spring break is only 9 or 10 days away? Well not for Carla. Her spring break is next week. Lucky. Enjoy your break Carla! You deserve it!

Media Law test tomorrow. Wish me luck.

another day another dollar

Oh dear, oh dear...where to start. Well, not a whole lot is new. I have been working doubles of both desk and duty for the past week and half because one of our RA's is going to be in the school play! Exciting! YAY LEROYAL TUTT!! So I thought I would be able to catch up on rest...ha. Yeah no.

The weekend after V.day I went to Saginaw! It was wonderful seeing Jordan. We had the whole weekend together! No games! Except there was a gymnastics meet on Friday, but that didn't last long. We haven't had a weekend like that since summer. We were both really worn out to we just hung around the house and relaxed. I still didn't catch up on rest though.

I came back to San Angelo that Monday. Don't ask it is a long story. Had a full week of stress and then the weekend came. *First let me say Wed. the 24th was Abbie's 22nd Birthday and the 25th was DeAnna's 22nd Birthday* DeAnna had to go home. Sadly her father was hospitalized and is very ill. Please send prayers and positive thoughts to her family. He is still currently in the ICU in a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So I have had that on my mind lately. I feel so bad that DeAnna had to spend her birthday in a hospital. It just hurts my heart. Anyway I was on duty all weekend so there was no rest time there.

Now there are 11 more days until Spring Break. That will be the next time I see Jordan and we will be heading to Houston to finalize the rest of our wedding plans. My wonderful sister Paige and sister-in-law Candace are also throwing us a couples shower! I am so excited to finally get presents off of our registry! I just updated it and it is final! SOOOOO EXCITING! I am just ready to be married. He is the most wonderful man. I am so blessed!
