Tis The Season To Sell Your Books Back!
Check outs have been consuming our lives. This is the most check outs we have had at semester in a long time. Most people are just moving rooms, floors, or halls but there are a few that are not returning. That is too bad.
Wednesday I finished my finals and thought that we could really relax now, inbetween check outs that is, but it just got crazier. Around 9ish we all got called for an emergency meeting. Turned out that the fire alarm system in Concho broke. If there was a fire we would have no idea. Yeah not good. Sooooo, what we had to do was rounds every hour on the hour until 6 in the morning. I was on the early shift 11 to 1 with Rick, Alyssa and Hope. We had a lot of laughs because we were soo loopy. We had to have air horns in case we needed to evacuate and Rick put his in his front pocket. He bent over twice and both times set off the air horn scaring himself. It was two very priceless moments.
Thursday we had our staff party and luckily for us the system was fixed so we could relax and have fun. From there I went to DeAnna's to have family Christmas with Daniel, Desiree, and Shane. Yep that is right Shane came! It was great fun and we all got a lot of great presents. SHANE GOT ME A PINK SNUGGIE!! I am wearing it right now and it is amazing.
I'm on duty tonight. No one is here so it should be a good night. Maybe I will go hang out in the lobby and watch a movie inbetween rounds.

dreaming of a white christmas
Thanksgiving was wonderful. My grandparents were in from Chicago and my sister and her family came over. It was a little harder this year because Thanksgiving was always my Aunt Charlotte's favorite holiday. She passed away in late July and it just wasn't the same without her. I got to see Abbie and hang out with her and a few other Katy people. We missed Carla. She is busy playing in Australia! Lucky! My mom, grandmother, and I did a lot of shopping. I got some people's Christmas presents, which is always exciting. I love giving people gifts.
Thanksgiving is over. Now on to Christmas! Two more weeks of school left. We have finals next week, which always ends just right. We tend to get a little crazy by the end of finals and need a release. We have our holiday staff parties. This year our party will be a PJ party! So fun! It is so helpful to have such amazing friends to help you celebrate your last fall semester of college. DeAnna and I are also planning our "Family Christmas" with Daniel, Desiree, Megan (if she can come), and Shane (he is supposed to be coming and if he doesn't he is going to be in so much trouble...just sayin). It is something we do to celebrate with each other before we all head home. We have a tree, stockings, Christmas dinner, and presents. We also always have to go to the San Angelo tour of lights. It is so much fun.
My last Christmas at ASU...that is just weird. I have been in school for about 17 to 18 years (all together) and I am nervous about what comes next. I am excited to get married, but nervous about not being in school anymore. It's like you know what to expect when you are still enrolled, but after that things change. You no longer have that safety blanket that school (or getting your education) provides. You now have to use what you have learned over those 17 years and be successful. That kind of stresses me out!
Anyway we are still waiting on baby Travis to come into the world. He is being very stubborn if you ask me. My poor sister-in-law. She is in so much pain and hasn't slept in about 3 days because she is contracting so much. Lets hope baby comes soon. I'm not sure Candace can take this much longer.
::They say it is supposed to snow tomorrow. I really hope it does. That would be amazing.::

new to this...
A little bit about me...if you don't already know...
My family is from Houston, my fiance is a high school basketball coach and math teacher in Fort Worth and I am in wonderful West Texas...fun. I am a Senior (HECK YEAH!!/FINALLY) at Angelo State University! A wonderful school, check it out! I am majoring in Public Relations and Advertising. I am currently a second year RA (resident assistant) for the wonderful Residential Programs. I am graduating in May and getting married in June! I was born October 5th in Houston. I am the youngest of 3. My sister Paige, who is the oldest, is married with a 12 year old daughter named Bridget. My brother Brian is a Marine. He is married to my awesome sister-in-law Candace, who happens to be expecting their second baby boy! Any day now Travis Scott will be brought into this world and luckily for him he will have a wonderful older brother Clay Arthur. Clay will be in two in January and is growing like crazy. I am a Cubs fan. I love NCIS and the Mentalist. I am scared of elevators...it is a little ridiculous. I don't like milk. I love movies. I am a photographer...I do pretty much everything including weddings.
That is really all I can think of right now.
