Floods Everywhere
Strange how all the water went to one side of the hall. Good construction...very nice.
Then two weeks ago one of my rooms went out to eat and came back and their room was full of water. They toilet had overflowed while they were gone. I was on duty that night. 5 incidents happened all at once that night to I was all over the place. Don't remember too much that happened with that flood. The last flood was a the room next to me. Once again it was a toilet. It kind of seeped into my room. Not bad. Some papers got wet and I had to throw them away. But still...what is with all the floods!?
So I started this post like a week ago when I was at work. Something came up and I forgot all about it until just now.
Soooo lol...
Well not a whole lot has happened. Been kind of quiet. I am so excited that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. We will be spending Thanksgiving this year in Fort Worth with Jordan's family. We were originally planning on going to his grandparents, however, Jordan's grandmother was just diagnosed with colon and liver caner. They started treatment right away so they wont be able to join us. This is very disappointing and hard for us. PLease pray for her and her health.
That pretty much sums it up for now.

Finalmente!
So for my birthday DeAnna had people over to give me presents and eat cake. Then DeAnna, Daniel and I went to MacAllisters. Yes I did in fact come home and watch Beauty and the Beast. It was wonderful and exactly how I wanted it to be. Then Friday we went and saw Life As We Know It. AMAZING! Love that movie. Everyone should go see it. It really makes you appreciate what and who you have in your life.
This weekend I am going home to relax after my final. Jordan normally wouldn't get home until 3 or 4am Saturday morning, but he told me that he would be home by 1! So excited! I can't wait to see him. I miss him so much. The Saginaw Rough Riders are still losing. Every game so far. Not good. I am not sure what to do with a high school football team that doesn't win. *sigh* They better get on track in the coming years. Otherwise it wont be a good relationship between the Rough Riders and myself.

Sunday
Spanish has consumed my life. In two weeks I have my final and then I start Spanish 4. It is beginning to take a lot out of me, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel now. Spanish 4 is so close! That is the road that leads me to graduation.
Work has been crazy. Nothing really new, but we are having a lot of incidents. The residents feel the need to push the limits and see how far they can push the rules. It doesn't seem to be working to well for them. We have had fights, alcohol, drugs. We just recently were introduced to a new way to get high. Smoking potpourri apparently gets you toasted really quickly. They smoke it so fast and in such large quantities that it is almost worse then pot. Interesting...who thought of smoking potpourri and why on earth did they not have anything better to do with their life?
We celebrated Desiree's Birthday! on the 20th and the 25th. Her actual birthday is Sept. 20th. We went and ate at Cheddar's because it was a Monday night and all had a rough week ahead of us. Then Friday we went to Sealy Flats and had to sit in the rain. It was good food and great atmosphere besides the rain. Desiree and I both got attacked by my little pink umbrella. It was pretty entertaining. We then went dancing and just had some fun. We couldn't stay out to late because Saturday was Parents Day and we all had to work. Yay!!!!
Then Sunday we had a staff party for doing so well on MapWorks. We had almost all 200 something Freshman take the survey. I believe only one student did not. Most universities only hit 30%. Our residence hall alone hit 98%. RECORD!!! So we got a T-REX CAKE!!!
Then this past week my door was attacked.
The boys who did that (yes they were boys) will be sorry. I warned them that they need to sleep with one eye open. Bahahaha!!!!!
Tuesday is my birthday...makes me sad. I don't want to celebrate or do anything special. I just want to stay at home alone and watch Beauty and the Beast. It has nothing to do with the fact that I am turning 23. That is exciting. It is the fact that I am Kendall Willis and it is my birthday and I don't even get to spend it with my husband. My first birthday as a married woman and I have to spend it away from Jordan. This is what makes me sad. I would like to pretend that it is just another ordinary day. Nothing special at all.

Update? What's that?
This weekend I get to go see Jordan. It has been about a month so I guess you could say it is long over due. However, before I leave on Friday I have my second Spanish test. I did well on the first, but I want to do better. I am trying really hard to get that A. I view going to see Jordan as a reward to studying so hard. Fingers crossed!
Tonight I am on duty. We have already had a huge leak. The F300's air conditioner froze over so not there is a huge puddle on water on my floor by our entry door. Wonderful. It seems that each building is beginning to leak. Every week it is something new. A couple of weeks ago it was the hot water into the Commons Conference room. Not good. Then last week some how water was standing in on of my rooms bathrooms. My girls were shocked and it looked like it was coming from the wall. No way it could have come from the shower. It was so random. We still have no idea what caused that. So with all the stress of being on duty I went to visit Hannah in the office of the Commons while she is working desk. We decided to crank up the music and just dance. Sometimes you just have to dance. It really does get rid of all the stress. Wonderful.
With that there is nothing else new. Just trying to get through this semester...alive. Hahaha jk...not really.

labor day...weekend
I had my first Spanish Test last week. Not real sure how that went down. I am sure we will see Tuesday. Then this weekend we had family dinner at Desiree's house Friday night and watched Why Did I Get Married Too? It was wonderful and the food was amazing! Sadly it was only Hope, Desiree and I. Everyone else got to go out of town. Lame. Then Saturday I cleaned and moved my room around. I ended up not liking it and moved it back. That was a good moment. After that Des and I went to HEB and got some breakfast food for dinner to have with the Staff. We made eggs, pancakes/chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and cinnamon rolls. Yummy!!! It was so good. Before we made dinner we all went to the first football game of the season. We played Eastern New Mexico and actually played really well. We ended up winning. ASU hasn't won a game in a long time. I forgot what it felt like.
Today we went to Church and all came back to the residence halls. I went and ran errands! I am officially Willis on everything now except for stupid ASU. That wont be done until after Sept. 20th. Ridiculous. I am so used to Willis now, it is hard for me to write or even say Brawner. A professor called out my name for roll and I didn't respond...mainly because I wasn't paying attention, but also because I was waiting for her to say Willis. My bad.
Tomorrow...Labor Day...more like lame day. Don't judge me for not being a fan of Labor Day this year. I just don't like something slowing down classes. I want to get them over with. Anyway I have to work tomorrow so it's not like I even get a Labor Day. I would like to go shopping, but that is not going to happen because we haven't been paid yet. We have been here since Aug. 1st and have not been paid yet. We are all basically living off of Ramen. Seriously. Not good.

why does the weekend go by so quickly?
This was a wonderful weekend. Friday we all when over to Hope's for FFN (Family Fun Night) and had a wonderful dinner. After we headed over to Float 404 for an adult beverage. It was just what we needed after a stressful first week. The night was beautiful. We sat out on the dock and just enjoyed the nice breeze and the wonderful Concho River. The first stress free night in a long time and probably the only stress free night for a while. Thank you stupid Spanish. I didn't get a chance to talk to Jordan, but I do know that Saginaw lost their first game. Jordan didn't get home until 10:30 am Saturday. He worked all night breaking down film. Glad I wasn't there.
Saturday I reviewed Spanish (I have a test next week) and just hung around the hall. Then went over to Hope's for dinner. Wonderful as always. We watched The Last Song and had a good cry. Then we sat around and talked for a bit letting out our frustrations. Once again this was a much needed night.
Today we went to Church. When I was walking out to my car I noticed something unusual. After getting closer I realized that some idiot threw a whole thing of spaghetti all over the side of my car. At this point it was hard. I picked Desiree up and we ran to the car wash. It got some off but not all. So after Church we went to Ihop and then I headed home to finish cleaning off my car. After 30 min I finally got it all off and took it back to the car wash and ran it through one more time. I hope whoever did it enjoys whatever karma will bestow upon them.
Now I am procrastinating. It is Sunday and I should be studying, but I am just so tired of it. I hate college and I am so ready to be done.

mmm...Hola...
After Spanish on Mondays and Wednesdays I go to Communication something at 2...at this point I can't remember the full name, but we get to watch Youtube videos and write about the effects they have on the communications world. It will be pretty fun. Then on Tuesday Thursday I go to Organizational Communications which I have no idea what that will be about, but it should be good.
That is a sum up of what my semester will hold class wise. Lord please give me strength to get through Spanish.

As Days Go By...
On top of check in my family dog that we have had for the past 14 years had to be put down. His age was beginning to overwhelm him. He also developed dementia. They had given him medicine, but it did not help. A couple of days before he had to be put down he began lacking the ability to stand for longer than 2 minutes. He actually feel into the pool at one point. It is hard. We love Kibbles so much and always will.
My dad has a really hard time going without a dog. So he knew this was coming and called the breeder that we got Kibbles from and they had one last male puppy left. His name is Rocky and is now at home with my parents. They are still hurting over Kibbles, but are welcoming the new addition gracefully. Buddy, the cat, on the other hand is not so thrilled. I am not sure how he is going to react when he realizes Kibbles will not be coming back. He never did like being apart from Kibbles. This will be interesting.
I miss Jordan so much. Sometimes it is really hard for me to talk to him on the phone because I miss him so much. It is a challenge to be away from my other half, my best friend. My staff is wonderful. They know just how to take my mind off of it. We have had many laughs together, but it still doesn't change the fact that Jordan and I are apart. Other then this we are both doing well. Football season has started and his time is limited. Everything is set for his classes and he is so excited to be teaching cal. I am so excited for him. I know he will do great! I love him so much.

Hello World
I love my new staff! We are really busy with in-hall, but are bonding beautifully. For some reason it seems that training is taking forever. Mainly because all we have done is in-hall and haven't really started official training, but in-hall is much harder. We have pre-ins and work orders. It is stressful and by the end of the day we are all worn out.
Our hall theme is superhero. I am doing Captain Planet and having it revolve around diversity! It is so much fun! I cannot wait to decorate my hall! I am in the F100's now. This hall has more rooms then the last hall I was in. This means I can decorate a lot more!
San Angelo hasn't changed much. Let me tell you I am so ready for winter. Today the heat index was like 115. Really? Ridiculous!
Tonight we are making our own personal pizzas! So excited! Maybe I should have charges my camera. Crap.

Mrs. Willis, Ireland is calling.
Well Jordan and I are finally married! We have had an amazing summer together. Lets start there...
We got married on June 18th at the Richmond House in Richmond, Texas. It was so beautiful! Everyone always tells you to take it all in because it will fly by...well, they were right. I really don't remember anything after 6 o'clock. Okay I remember a little...like sitting upstairs waiting for everything to start. And when I look back at the pictures...everything I was feeling at that moment comes rushing back. We had lilac and baby yellow flowers everywhere. The cake was amazing!! It was strawberry with whip cream and the frosting was pretty light. LOVED IT! However, it wasn't until after the wedding that I finally got to have a piece.
It was so beautiful! I am so thankful to have the wonderful man and amazing friends and family in my life. I truly enjoyed sharing this moment with them.
After the wedding we went on a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. In Jamaica we went to this beach party. The beach was beautiful!
We were able to see a storm slowly move over the island closer to us. It was so neat. When it finally reached us the lifeguard yelled "that is heading straight for us!!" then jumped off of the lifeguard stand (mind you people and children were still in the water) and ran for cover. We were cracking up!
In Grand Cayman we went swimming with dolphins and got to hold baby sea turtles!!!!!! It was so awesome! We took tons of pictures! However, those pictures disappeared. I went back to look at them when we got back and the whole folder was gone. Do you understand what that means? THE PICTURE OF ME HOLDING THE BABY SEA TURTLE (which I named Sanka) IS GONE!!!!!!! sad. And of course it rained on us in Grand Cayman as well. Yay.
After Grand Cayman we went to Cozumel and went snorkeling. It was so neat! After that we went to one of the beaches and hung around for a bit.
The cruise was amazing! We loved every minute of it and I cannot wait to do it again. We met some great people from our area that we ended up having a lot in common with.
So what has been going on after the cruise...lots of traveling. For July 4th we headed to Eastland to go to his grandparents lake house with the family. It was wonderful! We played scene it and I am happy to say that the women are still victorious! After we got back Jordan was offered the Calculus position at Saginaw. It was a long process, but he eventually accepted the offer! Then we went back to Katy for my usual Dr. appointments. We were there Monday and Tuesday. The Wednesday that we left we had a going away party for one the coaches we had to go to. That Thursday we headed to Andrews for Jordan's Dr. appointments and spent the weekend there with his family. We made sure that we got to spend equal time with everyone. So basically this whole summer we spent getting married (lol) and traveling. It has been fun, but all good things must come to an end. This Sunday I have to leave for school. Boo. It all went by so quickly, but it was one of the best summer's of my life.

wedding bells are ringing
We had a blast Friday, the day before the wedding. We first went to Hasta La Pasta and had a wonderful Bridal Luncheon. The food was amazing! Unfortunately I left my take home box there! I was so bummed.
From there we, Carla, Abbie, Joanna, Katie and I went and got our nails done. While we were being pampered Carla's mom brought us champagne. How wonderful! It was so much fun having girl time and just relaxing.
After our nails Joanna, Abbie and I ran over to Charming Charlies and got some shoes for Joanna. Then went over to Carla's house and headed out for the rehearsal. We got to Brisco Manor and got to work right away. There was a wedding that night to we had to be out of there by 5.
After the rehearsal we went to the rehearsal dinner at The Swinging Door. SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!
Then to end the night we went to Baker Street to enjoy Carla and Kason's last night as boyfriend and girlfriend. It was so much fun hanging out with the wedding party and getting to know them. Luckily for Katie, Joanna and I they came to our rescue when a couple of younger men started hitting on us. It was so funny. Good times.
The Wedding Day! Abbie and I had hair at noon then took a lunch break and headed out to Brisco Manor around 4. After the group pictures time seemed to pass slowly. We all sat around in the bridal suite just talking and checking the time every five minutes. I was started it get teary eyed. I almost cried walking down the aisle but got it under control. Didn't cry once! Just a little teary that is all.
We finished up the pictures and headed to the reception next door. So much fun! The wedding favor was Marble Slab ICE CREAM!!! It was sooooo good! We danced and talked to guests. It was so much fun.
Great great GREAT wedding Carla. We all enjoyed ourselves to much. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share that with you! Love you so much!

home again
CARLA'S BACHELORETTE PARTY! First we went downtown and ate at Benihana's! Amazing even though it took them an hour to serve us. After that we went back to the hotel by the Galleria and enjoyed some amazing cupcakes. We did a few other things then called it a night about 1am. It was great fun, memorable and hilarious!!
Then yesterday (Wednesday) I had a shopping day with Abbie and Jenny. Found a dress for the rehearsal dinner. Loved it so much I am wearing it to my own. We then went to Charming Charlie's. Jenny's first time there. She loved it! Doesn't everybody? Soooo wonderful. The best place for retail therapy. I bought some new shoes, earrings and a new bracelet to go with my wonderful new dress. Awww the joys! I get to wear my new dress tomorrow and I am so excited! We have the Bridal Luncheon, Nails, and then the rehearsal. I cannot believe that that she is getting married in TWO DAYS!!! TWO DAYS!!! I am so happy for her. It will take everything I can to not cry. My dearest Carla. I love her so much!
Tomorrow will be a wonderful day and it will slowly lead to the most wonderful day in Carla's life. I cannot believe we are grown up and getting married. It is hard to believe that in a few years I will be writing I cannot believe that we are having babies haha. Unbelievable. And yet so exciting...

movin on...
So six finals in two days was pretty rough. I was hurting pretty bad by the last one which was at 6 on Tuesday. Luckily I haven't had many check outs. My first one was today at 2:30. Shouldn't be too stressful since I only have like 20 residents. I am so ready for them to all be checked out and on their way. We cannot leave until Monday at noon so it is not like it matters how quickly we get them all out, but still. They have to be out by Friday unless told otherwise. It is so much less stressful when they are all out of the building.
So what now? What do we do when we get them all out of the building? Well Sunday we are having our staff gathering in order to end the year on a good note. See we kind of get a little crazy during check outs and bit each others heads off. So for our gathering we are having a Sundae Sunday! We are making epic sundaes. It is going to be the bomb. After that we prepare to leave.
I will get back to Katy who knows when on Monday. Then Tuesday we have Carla's bachelorette party in Houston. That goes until Wednesday! Yay! Then Wednesday and Thursday I have some wedding stuff to do. Finishing touches that sort of thing. Friday we have the rehearsal for Carla's wedding! THEN!!!!!!! Saturday a full day of wonderful wedding events! Carla will finally become Mrs. Knight....long time in the making. Sunday after her wedding I am heading to Saginaw and will be there until the week or our wedding. We have two showers...one in Saginaw and another in Andrews that will have 70 guests...crazy.
These next few weeks will be crazy, but I am sooo ready for them!

40 days...
Today DeAnna, my wonderful maid of honor, threw me a beautiful bridal shower! Last night DeAnna, Desiree, Elise and I made cookies for the shower while Hope and Erika made the cake and cupcakes. The cookies didn't really come out the way we would have like haha...but the cupcakes and cake looked amazing! Erika and Hope have that talent. The cookies didn't really make it. We were pretty loopy by the time we started decorating, but it was a really fun night. Def. something we all needed. It was like a slumber party. We played wii, watched tv and pigged out. There was also a lot of venting.
The shower was in the CV Skyroom. It was really pretty. DeAnna did a wonderful job on the decorations and she came up with some really creative and fun ideas for games and gifts. Everyone wrote down their best wishes for Jordan and I and then their best memory of us. Hope wrote my favorite one..."Mrs. Willis, Ireland is calling." When the Germans came and we were checking them I said that I looked forward to when I was a very well known PR practitioner and my secretary would come over the intercom saying, "Mrs. Willis, Ireland is calling." Hope just about fell on the floor and I didn't realize all of the Germans had overheard me. It was pretty funny. Good memory.
Anyway I was so happy to share that with some wonderful people. I am so thankful to have such amazing friends.

rollin with the punches
She was on a road I travel often when I go see Jordan. She was on the "Y" in Tuscola and lost control. A lot of people speed at the point where it veers off. You are supposed to slow down to 60, but that rarely happens. I always do because it has a sudden curve to it. It makes me nervous. It has been sad here the past couple of days. We had to pack up her belongings for her roommate to take them back home. It is part of the job. It sucks, but it is the job.
This really opened our eyes.

looking back on yesterday
Friday night we watched Blind Side and had Papa John's pizza. I couldn't help but remember our first time ordering Papa John's. It was freshman year in the wonderful Mary Massie. We ordered the pizza and planned on watching a movie. The pizza seriously took an hour to be delivered. I remember Daniel and I walking around the lobby (back then it used to have orange shag carpet on the walls haha) waiting for they guy while watching the Heisman Trophy results.
It is crazy. Daniel is graduating in two weeks. Where did college go?
