jealous

I was at peace with not graduating, but for some reason it just made me really mad. I guess that will happen. You get burnt out and just can't wait for it to all be over, but then you realize that you have one more semester. I can understand why I got mad. Whatever...it's lame.

Spring is in the air. Well today not so much, but yesterday was amazing. I always find myself wanting everything to be brighter...color wise that is. Like I was my clothes to be bright colors and I want my room to be bright. I don't know it just puts me in a cheery mood. I love SPRING! I am ready for Spring Break. We will be getting into Houston Saturday night and our first shower is on Sunday. Then Monday we are going to the Rodeo with my brother and sister-in-law! Fun times! Tuesday tuxes, Wednesday bridal portraits, Thursday cake testing, flower picking, menu finalizing, and decor finalizing, Friday back to Saginaw with our new dining room furniture! How exciting! Sounds a bit busy, but in between we will have a lot of pool time and relaxing. So happy! Sometimes I wish we just went to the JP with our families and closest friends then had a big party. Seems like it would have been a whole lot less complicated. I really don't care how we get married anymore as long as we get married. Less is more, right?

wtf...

WTF ... We're There For... We're There First. That is our slogan/ad campaign for State Farm. It is amazing. Our demographic is 18 to 25 year olds and this (WTF) is the moto for that generation. We presented it perfectly (in-house) to 8 judges. All loved it. They were a little worried that it would be taken the wrong way, but agreed that if we presented it as well as we did it wouldn't. However, we did not get first place. The professor did not like it so we came in second. The whole point of an in-house competition is to decide what we will take to regionals. The whole class voted...WTF won. Professor said no. Now we have to start from scratch. We did all of that hard work for nothing. We have to be done with our book by next Friday. We have nothing. Awesome. Regionals are in April. Everyone else is pretty much done. Worried? Yeah just a little. Annoyed? Oh yeah. There is more to the story, but I am not going to get into it. Lets just say some people always get their way when their daddy is a big name at a little school.

Anyway I found the bedding that I want for our bedroom! It is perfect. A little bit of me with the design and a little bit of Jordan with the blue. Perfect!!

Word on the street is that we will be getting it from the lovely ladies that are hosting our shower in Andrews! I am so excited for the showers to happen. We are having one in Katy, one in Andrews and one in Saginaw! Then there is a little something happening here in San Angelo, but we aren't going to get into that lol. Also Jordan booked our off shore excursions for our honeymoon!! We are going to go swimming with dolphins and sea turtles for one of them! So excited!!! TURTLES!!!!! I love turtles.

Everything is coming together beautifully. Now just to finish out the semester! Spring break is only 9 or 10 days away? Well not for Carla. Her spring break is next week. Lucky. Enjoy your break Carla! You deserve it!

Media Law test tomorrow. Wish me luck.

another day another dollar

Oh dear, oh dear...where to start. Well, not a whole lot is new. I have been working doubles of both desk and duty for the past week and half because one of our RA's is going to be in the school play! Exciting! YAY LEROYAL TUTT!! So I thought I would be able to catch up on rest...ha. Yeah no.

The weekend after V.day I went to Saginaw! It was wonderful seeing Jordan. We had the whole weekend together! No games! Except there was a gymnastics meet on Friday, but that didn't last long. We haven't had a weekend like that since summer. We were both really worn out to we just hung around the house and relaxed. I still didn't catch up on rest though.

I came back to San Angelo that Monday. Don't ask it is a long story. Had a full week of stress and then the weekend came. *First let me say Wed. the 24th was Abbie's 22nd Birthday and the 25th was DeAnna's 22nd Birthday* DeAnna had to go home. Sadly her father was hospitalized and is very ill. Please send prayers and positive thoughts to her family. He is still currently in the ICU in a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So I have had that on my mind lately. I feel so bad that DeAnna had to spend her birthday in a hospital. It just hurts my heart. Anyway I was on duty all weekend so there was no rest time there.

Now there are 11 more days until Spring Break. That will be the next time I see Jordan and we will be heading to Houston to finalize the rest of our wedding plans. My wonderful sister Paige and sister-in-law Candace are also throwing us a couples shower! I am so excited to finally get presents off of our registry! I just updated it and it is final! SOOOOO EXCITING! I am just ready to be married. He is the most wonderful man. I am so blessed!

burn baby burn

I am burnt out. The Koreans left Friday. We had to check them out at 4 am. It was tough. This weekend was a little crazy. Friday night we had to wash all the sheets and blankets that the Koreans used. It didn't take too long, but it wasn't fun. Saturday I can hardly remember what all I did. I know it was a little crazy. Very busy day. I have two tests this coming week and on top of that the Germans come in tomorrow. No idea what time they are getting here or what is really going on at this point. People don't feel they should keep us updated. They'll be sorry when things get crazy and out of control. That is just an update of what all has been going on.

Today I am studying my life away. Earlier, however, I took Lara downtown to take her Bridal Portraits. It didn't go so well. The weather took a turn for the worst and we had to find somewhere in door. So...we called the President of ASU and asked him if we could use his house. I have never been in there before and let me tell you....AMAZING! Dream house? I think so.

Saturday in the Park

It is Saturday and beautiful outside! A little cool, but at least it is not in the 20's and raining/snowing. After getting some much needed rest and sleeping in until 11:30 (I never do that) I am ready to meet up with DeAnna! We are going downtown to enjoy our wonderful little town. She is a nerd and also wants to take some updated pictures. The last cute picture we have together is from sophomore year I think it is. So I can understand her reasoning.

A lot has happened. I was denied for graduation, because they messed up my degree plan. I am 5 hours short. 5! Ridiculous! Those hours don't even go towards my major either. I don't understand them. So anyway it was looking like I was going to be back for another semester because of loan reasons, but who really knows. Nothing is final until March or April. I will know for sure what I am doing then.

My classes are great. My professors are amazing. I love them so much. That is the beauty about being a Senior. You have pretty much had everyone and know who to take and who not to take. I am in this one class for Ad Club and we just got assigned out Ad groups. Mine is amazing! We are working on an Ad Campaign for State Farm and will be competing in April against some big name schools! It is pretty exciting and for our group everything seems to be coming together perfectly. We are all just so creative.

Clay, baby #1, turned 2 yesterday! So exciting! I missed his party because I am here at school, but once I am out I am going to work my hardest to make it to his 3rd! I can not believe he is 2. Then there is Bridget my niece who is about to turn 12. So crazy. They seriously grow up so fast.

Just a work update...we were excited to be getting students from South Korea and they are doing amazing! They will be leaving soon, however, which is so sad. We have really enjoyed them being here. After they leave, seriously 3 days after they leave, we will be welcoming students from Germany! Most of which will be on my floor. It is really funny. I told some of my girls and they started freaking out because apparently German boys are really attractive. I was cracking up. I love my floor.

this is a picture of my old board!

and this is my new board!

you do what you have to do to stay awake. this is what we, the massie massie concho RAs had to do when we were waiting for the Koreans. their plane landed about two hours late and this was about 11:45 i would say. they finally got there around 12:30.

Hear the Yell, Back to School, Ring the Bell

Well I am back at school. This whole past week we have had Spring Training. The new RA's look promising. I am pretty excited that there was no turn over for my Massie staff. Concho, however, has 4 new RA's. One of them happens to be my old resident Koby! I am so proud! This is going to be such an awesome last semester! We bonded even more than before during all of our in-hall. Then a couple of days ago we found out that we are getting students from South Korea!! They will only be staying a month, but it is going to be pretty awesome. If they like it here then we are going to have a Study Abroad program with them!! I have 4 on my floor. 3 out of the 4 are women so it should be pretty fun!! The men of South Korea don't believe women are at the same level as them so LeRoyal got most of the men.

Today I was promoted to RA 3! That is a big deal!! So exciting. Then I made the Dean's List!! So the semester is starting out pretty picturesque. That is my floors motto this semester!! For the door decs I have cameras with their names on them and then my board says "Welcome Back! Lets Make This Semester Picturesque!" It looks so good! I can't wait for all my residents to see it!! I will post a picture of it soon. I just have to take one lol.

So in this video Chaz is hiding in a box and is going to scare Skarke. We had been at training all morning, then had to come back to the dorms to do laundry for our Korean residents that were coming. We had just finished and all really needed a little pick me up. We tried to get Tori, but it is not nearly as good as Skarke. ((*side note* Flip Camera's are awesome!))

In this video we are at the ASU Basketball game and Chaz and Jason were picked to go onto the court and participate in a relay. Chaz is in the middle and Jason is the one on the far right of Chaz.

All in all Spring Training went pretty well and really fast, which is weird. That never happens!

Welcome 2010

Christmas break was amazing. I got to spend so awesome time with my family and just relax. Leading up to Christmas I hung out with Abbie and Carla! We went and had coffee and exchanged Christmas presents. Then Christmas Eve is when the brother and sister come over with their families. It is always the best. We have so much fun together and my dad makes us peppermint malts. Amazing. Clay is talking up a storm and Travis will stay awake for about 10 min. then he is out again. At one point over the break Travis had to go to the hospital. He became pretty sick, but luckily only had to spend one night and was able to go home. Christmas was great. I didn't ask for anything or want anything, but what I got I love. I got the yellow bird suitcase from Vera Bradley. My favorite. I also got wonderful, pink, fuzzy socks!! AMAZING!

The day after Christmas my family and I went to San Marcos and did some shopping. SO fun! The throughout the week my friends from high school got together a couple of times and just hung out. It was great seeing everyone I didn't get to see over Thanksgiving. Really didn't do a whole lot.

Now it is 2010. I ended up getting sick New Years Eve morning about 1:30am and was unable to drive back to school. I am still fighting this awful virus. It is so annoying. I have had a fever since Thursday and headaches on and off. I have been to the doctor twice and the second time got some new meds. They are working pretty well so we will see. Hopefully I will be back to normal in the next few days. I have to go back to school Sunday. We start fall training that Monday so I am pretty excited to get to meet and know the new people on my staff and see my staff from this past semester again. I miss them so!! MMC is by far the best Residence Hall Staff EVER!!
