dreaming of a white christmas

Thanksgiving was wonderful. My grandparents were in from Chicago and my sister and her family came over. It was a little harder this year because Thanksgiving was always my Aunt Charlotte's favorite holiday. She passed away in late July and it just wasn't the same without her. I got to see Abbie and hang out with her and a few other Katy people. We missed Carla. She is busy playing in Australia! Lucky! My mom, grandmother, and I did a lot of shopping. I got some people's Christmas presents, which is always exciting. I love giving people gifts.

Thanksgiving is over. Now on to Christmas! Two more weeks of school left. We have finals next week, which always ends just right. We tend to get a little crazy by the end of finals and need a release. We have our holiday staff parties. This year our party will be a PJ party! So fun! It is so helpful to have such amazing friends to help you celebrate your last fall semester of college. DeAnna and I are also planning our "Family Christmas" with Daniel, Desiree, Megan (if she can come), and Shane (he is supposed to be coming and if he doesn't he is going to be in so much trouble...just sayin). It is something we do to celebrate with each other before we all head home. We have a tree, stockings, Christmas dinner, and presents. We also always have to go to the San Angelo tour of lights. It is so much fun.

My last Christmas at ASU...that is just weird. I have been in school for about 17 to 18 years (all together) and I am nervous about what comes next. I am excited to get married, but nervous about not being in school anymore. It's like you know what to expect when you are still enrolled, but after that things change. You no longer have that safety blanket that school (or getting your education) provides. You now have to use what you have learned over those 17 years and be successful. That kind of stresses me out!

Anyway we are still waiting on baby Travis to come into the world. He is being very stubborn if you ask me. My poor sister-in-law. She is in so much pain and hasn't slept in about 3 days because she is contracting so much. Lets hope baby comes soon. I'm not sure Candace can take this much longer.

::They say it is supposed to snow tomorrow. I really hope it does. That would be amazing.::
